Program Purpose:
The purpose of the NASW-WI BIPOC Student Program is to support BIPOC social work students and in participation in leadership and career development opportunities inside and outside of NASW. This fund will help diversify NASW-WI’s membership and the social work profession in Wisconsin.
The BIPOC Student and Practitioner Series: These are quarterly workshops with topics of interest to BIPOC individuals. You can learn more about these workshops by staying in touch with us on social media or visiting our events page.
BIPOC Student Leadership Program: To provide an opportunity for social work students and others with a demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities to become members of NASW-WI, learn leadership skills, have a mentor, and begin taking leadership roles within NASW-WI. To increase diversity in NASW-WI’s membership, up to ten recipients will have their NASW membership paid for one year. NASW-WI is the state chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
