The Wisconsin Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling, and Social Work Examining Board has authorized NASW-WI to approve continuing education programs relevant to the professional practice of social work.

  • Fresh Start Family Services will host the "Color of Child Welfare" Conference on  May 24, 2022  at the Potawatomi Hotel and Conference Center. Our theme is ‘Sawubona: Affirming Black Children and Families Through Honor, Hope and Healing’.  This year’s conference will offer presentations by Dr. Dorothy Roberts, Dr. Joy DeGruy, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, Judge Derek Mosley, Judge Everett Mitchell and a 4 hour Ethics and Boundaries practicum. Other presenters like Nurse Muhammad Mahdi, Patricia Parker, Dion Racks, Dawn Shelton-Williams, Marvell Ruppel, and Simone Kilgore will offer vigorous dialogue about medical, social work and mental health best practices, current research, advocacy efforts, and policy implications.
