This ethics training examines how prolonged societal strain and ongoing system disruption have reshaped professional boundaries, relationships, and ethical decision-making among practitioners in helping professions. Drawing on core professional values and contemporary practice realities, the training explores how collective stress, isolation, and invisible emotional labor have contributed to trauma bonding, blurred boundaries, and complex dual relationships within professional environments.
Rather than framing these challenges as individual ethical missteps, this session situates them within broader relational, organizational, and sustainability contexts. Participants will reflect on how survival-based connection, shared professional stress, and increased emotional demands affect judgment, supervision, teamwork, and client relationships. The training emphasizes values-based ethical reasoning, human sustainability, and the role of healthy boundaries in maintaining trust, professionalism, and ethical integrity in times of sustained strain.
This training is appropriate for practitioners across practice settings, including clinical, school-based, community, and supervisory roles.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
